Standardized Desks, 2024

This was a collaboration with artist Avery Williamson during our residency at the Riverside Arts Center. Using an old classroom overhead projector, a projection of her work was shown over my Standardized Desks for the duration of the show.

The desks were made from discarded ACT booklets from 2005 and wheatpaste. While the tests themselves may be standardized, the pathways to getting to them are drastically different for a number of reasons. Until accessibility is standardized, nothing else should be.
